Mimi Vu
Director of Development

Mimi Vu joined the VinaCapital Foundation as the Director of Development in February 2009 after two and a half years as the development officer for the East Meets West Foundation. Previously, she spent six years in New York City and Paris, where she worked in public relations, development, and advocacy for nonprofits such as the International AIDS Vaccine Initiative, the Council of Fashion Designers of America, the Robin Hood Foundation, and the Fund for Public Health in New York.

Mimi has undergraduate degrees in English Literature and French from the University of Michigan and an MPA in International Nonprofit Policy and Management from New York University. She was drawn to living and working in Vietnam because of a desire to further her career in international development, explore Vietnam and Asia, and connect with her Vietnamese roots. Mimi hopes to make a positive impact on the development of her family’s homeland through her work with VCF.
