Robin King Austin
Executive Director

As the visionary and motivator behind the VinaCapital Foundation project, Robin dedicates her passion and drive to making a change in children’s lives. She conceived of the VCF mission and since its inauguration in 2005, has led the effort resulting in thousands of children receiving help. In july 2009 VCF reached a major milestone when it funded its 1,000th lifesaving heart surgery in Vietnam.

Prior to founding VinaCapital Foundation, Robin served as Director of Development for East Meets West Foundation using her fundraising skills and public relations talents to raise an impressive 1 million USD in 22 months.


With over 25 years in business development, public relations, and marketing and operations in various sectors (Healthcare; Community; Conservation; Real Estate) Robin has held numerous roles at the executive management level, and holds an impressive portfolio of community service.


Shannon Danley, PT, MSPT

 

Shannon completed her Bachelor of Arts degree in Design from the University of Notre Dame, where she also studied Architecture for three years. She then went on to earn her Masters of Science degree in Physical Therapy from Washington University of Medicine in 1999. After graduation, she worked in southeastern US as a pediatric Physical Therapist in a variety of settings, including NICU, in-patient, outpatient, school-based, home health and hippotherapy. During this time she was responsible for program development of a NICU follow-up clinic, policy and procedure development, proposals for equipment and marketing to the community.  For the past seven years Shannon has been living and travelling throughout SE Asia, including Thailand and Indonesia. During this time she has volunteered with various women’s organizations, focusing on fundraising for local charity programs. She also has worked with a Special Education program proving physiotherapy and educator training. Currently she is living in HCMC and volunteering with VCF.
